DESCRIPTION
The AirSense™ 10 AutoSet CPAP Machine with HumidAir™ Heated Humidifier builds on the reliable and advanced features of the S9 line of machines by adding a built-in HumidAir™ humidifier in a sleek design that is 23% lighter. Heated Humidifier combines the proven technology of the AutoSet algorithm with the integrated comfort of the Optional ClimateLineAir Heated Tube. This is an auto-titrating CPAP machine that adjusts the pressure on a breath by breath basis to deliver the minimal pressure needed to maintain the airway.
FEATURES
- Sound Level: The average CPAP machine has a sound pressure level of 30 decibels. The AirSense 10 AutoSet’s sound output is about 27 decibels, which is considered whisper-quiet.
- Ease of Use: The LCD screen has a straightforward menu that helps users adjust settings with a simple dial. Easy-to-read icons track therapy progress and compliance. The Mask Fit feature displays a smiling emoji to show that your mask fits properly and isn’t leaking. A similar icon appears when the humidifier is working properly.
- Portability: The AirSense 10 AutoSet’s relatively compact size makes it suitable for travel. You can reduce bulk even more by removing the water chamber.
- Pressure Settings: The device’s pressure range is 4 to 20 centimetres of water pressure (cm H2O), which is typical of most CPAP machines. Pressure levels can be calibrated by 0.2 cm H2O increments. Speak with your doctor if your prescribed pressure range causes discomfort or is no longer effective.
- Air Temperature and Humidity Controls: The humidifier has a climate control feature that automatically adjusts air temperature and relative humidity to optimal levels. Users can also manually adjust these levels to fit their needs.
- Compatibility: The AirSense 10 AutoSet is compatible with most CPAP masks regardless of the manufacturer. This includes different types like nasal masks, nasal pillows, and full-face masks. ResMed’s SlimLine tubing is thinner than a typical CPAP hose, but the device is also compatible with standard 22-millimetre hosing.
- Maintenance: ResMed recommends washing the humidifier basin daily and the hosing on a weekly basis. Both components should be cleaned with warm water and mild soap, then air-dried on a towel. Avoid drying in direct sunlight.
The water tank should also be soaked weekly for 15 to 20 minutes in a solution that’s equal parts white vinegar and water. Once soaked, it should be rinsed with warm water and air-dried on a flat surface.
Consult your mask manufacturer’s cleaning recommendations. Generally, mask components should be wiped daily and washed weekly with warm soapy water.
